Nepalese movies these days are being more women-centered. It's certain that the male stardom this year is going to be threatened by female stars. Yet, a new Friday release "Mukhauta" could not sell well as expected. Reasons may vary but the role of two female
stars in the film has been the center of filmy talks. Harshika Shrestha who sounds dialogue less in the film is being widely criticized as she was promoting the film in various media in the lies of a special and different role this time in 'Mukhauta'. Her role in the film seems no more than to shed tears before the abuse and beating of the central attraction in the film Saugat Malla. Harshika has been analyzed as a bit boastful about her film. On the other hand, the role of Nisha Adhikari also seems pitiable though she has been busy in film promotion. Dancing in short dresses with a killing sex appeal in dance bars and just hanging around the main star Arpan Thapa has become her role in the film. In a film where male stars are strongly dominant over female stars who are just confined as item dancers and show pieces, a question may arise what else did they saw in the film and acted and to which way they are taking their career? The role and business of 'Mukhauta' has pushed Nisha, who hasn't tasted much more success to more crisis.
