After a long awaiting of four years, the National award
ceremony was concluded in controversy. In the very award function when the best
actor female for 2068 B.S was given to Neeta Dhungana the controversy reached
in the hype. At the same event the two leading ladies of Nepali film industry,
Priyanka karki and Richa Sharma were unsatisfied with the jury decision of
judging Neeta as a best Actor female for the following year. Now the awarded
actress Neeta Dhungana’s interaction regarding the controversial award is as
follows.
1- why do you think of the award that you have achieved was
debatable?
Neeta – In every award function we do find debates regarding
the jury decision, the question is not about me getting the award but the
conclusion which was made by jury.
2- There were also talks about the award was more deserved
by Keki Adhikari ?
Neeta – the performance should not be calculated with how
many scenes we have done but the agility of an actor depends upon justifying
the character enhancingly. Whoever debates I am sure they have not watch my
work in “Masaan”.
3- The lead role was portrayed by Keki Adhikari in the
movie, then how did you see yourself with the award ?
Neeta – More appearance does not sound preferable that your
work in the movie was more resilient than the person who may have worked
equally hard. Do you remember? In the movie “Prempinda” with the major star
cast like Saroj khanal, Melina manadhar and Sunny rauniyar, but even though
from that movie the award was given to Nir shah.
4- In that award ceremony contemporary actress like Priyanka
karki, Richa shamrma and others argued about you getting the award?
Neeta – To every people whoever argues in this matter, my
only suggestion for them is to watch the movie first and analyze the
performance then only have words to comment. Even immediate after the release I
was highly appreciated for my character in the movie. After they watch movie
they might regret for the contrary they are fetching on me.
5- It means you are very happy with Jury decision?
Neeta – An award uplifts the value of an actor. It is obvious to have debates in such
programme because everyone wants their work to be appreciated. It is all about
people’s perception how they analyze and react on things.
