Continuing its unbeaten victory this season and beating the host
Malaysia with 32 runs in finale Nepal have become the champions of ACC U-16
Premiere League Cricket.
With this victory Nepal has not only won the title but also took
revenge of the earlier version of ACC U-16 in 2012. Then, defeating Nepal, Malaysia
had been the title champions two years ago. Similarly in 2010 version of ACC
U-16 Nepal had returned losing the finals. This is the first time in the
history of Nepalese U-16 Cricket that they have been successful in winning the title.
In the finale game played on Wednesday losing the toss Nepal scored
161 runs losing its 9 wickets in 40 over's game. Chasing the target of 162 runs
Malaysia got all out with only 129 runs on the board in 36.2 Overs. Nepal could
reach the score with the help of 44 personal runs of Pawan Sarraf and 34 runs
of Rabi Chand respectively.
